So, I'm a day late posting this, but in my defense I had an extremely busy weekend. As soon as I take the pictures, I'll show you guys the stuff I made at the Cleveland Sewing Expo over the weekend. Lots of fun and I got to spend some time with my sister and mom.
As of now, chapter nine is halfway done. So that leaves the second half of chp 9, the second half of chp 5, and chp 10 left to write. Which means if I keep this current pace of half a chapter a week, I'll have the fic finished by the end of April. Take another month for beta-ing and corrections and you guys will see my handiwork by the end of May. Whew!
All in all this has been a great learning experience. It's kind of nice to hold onto all of the chapters so I can go back and add/delete stuff as needed so that the final project is a little more consistant. But then, I've grown so accustomed to feedback for my WIP that it's been a little hard with motivation. Thank goodness for
avamclean, my personal cheerleader. Her gentle, persistant nudges toward writing (read daily BIG BANG! reminders) and feedback on chapters and characterization has been the main reason I've gotten as far as I have. *hugs her*
I have to admit the silence over at the comm has me a little worried. However,
avamclean and I have made some contingency plans. We're going to keep to the schedule and if we hear nothing from the comm at the next checkpoint we're dropping the community, but still continuing on. So have no fear, you will see a completed fic by me at the end of May no matter what.
Alright, the big news. Current word count: 25,235 out of 30,000. Just 4,765 words to go.
