*Waves to those still around*

*looks at clock* 11:30pm. Yup, the earliest I've ever been done on Christmas Eve. I even have Miss Thing's birthday presents wrapped and ready for her party on the 26th. (For those who may not know/remember her birthday is the day after Christmas)
So yeah, been a while since I've posted, but I swear, I've got the bestest of the best reason ever.
After a bit of a hiccup back in June, I found out on Sept. 12 that I was pregnant with future child #2. My hiccup being a miscarriage just before 8 weeks on Father's Day. Yeah.
But yay for the newest one sticking around so far. *crosses fingers* But first trimester hit me like a bitch. Nauseated and so tired that I literally couldn't make it through the day without a nap. Ugh. I seriously don't remember being tired with Miss Thing like this. But first trimester passed without incident and went right into retail holiday. Which means 0 free time for anything but survival.
However, things should start to slow down and I've got a lot of PTO to burn before May 20th so I don't lose it. (I lose any I don't use over the year and it rolls over at the beginning of July. Good news is, I'll get to use a bunch of next years on my maternity leave to help extend it). So I'm hoping to be a little more of a presence on the web once again.
I know, I know, baby coming gotta be ready. But other than cleaning out the basement so we can switch the spare room back to a nursery again, I'm not overly worried. We still have all the major needs (outside of formula and diapers) and it's gender neutral so I don't have to switch anything over if the new one turns out to be a boy. And I'll know on January 6th provided the newest munchkin cooperates with the ultrasound. I will be going through the lovely process of finding a new OBGYN since mine is retiring next week. bleh
And hopefully getting back to writing. I'm hoping to finish up those series I've got floating around before the munchkin comes, and hey, I think I can do it, considering I wrote Wayward Angel while pregnant with Miss Thing.
So what would you guys like to see finished first:
The Agent Slayer Series with the adventures of Buffy and Coulson.
or
Fish Climbing Trees Series with the happy couple of Buffy/Bones with a side helping of best friend Jim.
The Well-Spring Series is not in the running because I don't have the full storyline a well developed as the other two.
I hoping to finish the first two series, I was just wondering if anyone had a preference to the order. :D
So hoping everyone else is well!!!

on 2013-12-25 05:17 am (UTC)Congratulations, Pol! I'm sorry about your earlier miscarriage but so happy that all is going well with this one. So congrats to you, your hubby, and Miss Thing!
Speaking of the latter, wish her happy birthday! I'm glad she gets to celebrate both. (I know a number of adults with birthdays super close to Christmas and that's their one complaint about celebrating the holiday. ;p)
Also? Congrats on getting through another year of Christmas retail! And to do it pregnant - you're totally my hero!
I'm not sure I could pick. I've been watching "Agents of Shield" and often wonder what would have happened if Buffy was there. (But with May(sp?) because I quite like her.) But I'm also watching "Almost Human" which reminded me how delicious Karl Urban is and happy Buffy/Bones with best friend Jim is darned delightful.
Whichever you muse chooses, I'll be more than happy to read.
Merry Christmas, Pol!

on 2014-01-04 09:27 pm (UTC)We are super excited about the new one on the way. It's been a movin' and a grovin' in my belly, enough that even Miss Thing got to feel it once. She is utterly convinced that the baby is a girl and will be named Hannah. She refuses to discuss the fact that it might be a boy. I think either way I'm in trouble because I don't care for the name Hannah. It's nice enough, but I'm not feeling it. :D 'Course we didn't name Miss Thing until nearly the last month.
I've been watching Agents, I just don't think I'll incorporate anything into my series. But I enjoy May and Fitz/Simmons. I could kinda care less about Ward and Skye. *shrugs*
And holy Hannah, how hot is Karl in his new show? *fans self* I'm actually enjoying it much more than Agents. (I only get the tv to myself for two hours a week, and that's what I watch. Otherwise it's too much of a hassle to argue over the tv since we don't have a DVR anymore)
You guys aren't making the decision easy. lol
