NCIS

1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?
I came to the series late. It had been on for several years, but it was USA running it in syndication that hooked me in. I adore Mark Harmon, have since the eighties, and Michael Weatherly as well.

2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
As of now, sticking around. Some fandoms I flitter in and out of. But as long as I enjoy watching the new eps and aren't completely burned out of the reruns. I'm probably here for quite a while.

3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc?
Oh holy crap. Umm, never pass up on SWAK, the ep where we first meet Gibbs' dad, any episode that really shows off the team working well together and someone being an asshat and working outside of their canon.

4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
A little. I've written some crossover with BtVS, and reviewed some fics, but that's about all. I stay pretty quiet in the communities I watch.

5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?
Of course! I love the characters, their interactions (provided the show writers aren't being stupid).


Star Trek

1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?
My parents watched the original series and I remember seeing reruns on our fuzzy tv when we could get the antenna to pick up the station airing it. I've watched the movies because of them, and then ventured onto the other series from there on my own. Watched the reboot when it came out on dvd and loved it. However, the fandom, didn't start in on that until the last month when heathenseyes sent me a link to a fic and got sucked right in. I've been rewatching the original series ever since.

2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
I have a feeling this is one I'll burn through, reading fanfic wise. But I do love the series in general and probably always will.

3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc?
Only because I just watched this in my rewatching of TOS - Balance of Terror. It's where they first meet the Romulans. The pacing, acting, and writing of this episode was actually extremely well done once you look past the horrendous special effects. Very good storytelling.

4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
At the moment, just doing lots and lots and lots of reading. Who knows, maybe one day I'll write, but I don't know.

5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?
Sure, why not?


Heroes

1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?
Originally, I had no plans to watch this series, but my sister asked me to record it for her (she had no cable or the time really to watch on the nights it aired). So I watched as I recorded it onto DVD and edited out the commercials and got sucked right it. I totally blame her. lol

2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
Already moved on. Didn't even make it past the first few episodes of season 3. I think the writers had no idea what to do past the first season and it went to crap.

3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc?
Can I say season 1? If I remember, any of those are worth watching. Plus, you kinda gotta watch in sequence otherwise it totally doesn't make sense.

4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
No, never have.

5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?
Not really. The show peaked with season 1 and past that, it's just ok. Never really participated in the fandom aspect so I can't really judge.

I agree with you wholeheartedly on "Heroes". I loved the first season and never bothered to watch past that, because I was already burning out on the soap aspects of the series (there are very, very few serialized series that I've ever bother with).

avamclean already went through and picked series for me, but I've yet to get around to posting my answers to the questions. I'm waiting for a time when my brain is quasi coherent, which may take a while (the combination of chronic pain, migraines and insomnia makes for very few coherent days).

ETA: However, if you want to know about any other fandoms of mine, I'd be quite happy to answer on more than just "The Lord of the Rings", "Starsky & Hutch" and "Stargate: Atlantis".
