*sigh* So, still not feeling well at the beginning of the week put a crick in my writing plans. But, I only work four days this week and have a road trip during which I can write so here's hoping for a better week. Plus, the newest full time manager is taking over the visuals which my brain gets a break from that and I only have to concentrate on my job... and some training of the newest part time manager. *sigh* Seriously, hope we're done with this manager training thing since holiday is coming up and my hands will be full.

So last week's goals:

- Finish writing chp 1 of Riptide (working title for the Undertow sequel) and hopefully chp 2

- Write the first two scenes of a Buffy/Dresden fic that's been percolating for around a year.

What I got done - Finished chp 1... and that's it.

So week 2's goals:

- Chp 2 & 3 of Riptide

- First two scenes of Buffy/Dresden.

All things considered, one chapter is good progress. Remember, writing time is supposed to be fun creative time, not drudgery.

And here's hoping the newest management trainee picks things up quickly and, above all, sticks around! *hugs*

I'm just glad I'm finally feeling better. Just two more antibiotic pills to go. I'm still not 100%, but I'm not completely exhausted all the time now and I can actually eat once again. Mmmm, hubby grilled chicken this evening and then had blackberry cobbler for dessert. It's hard to get in the mood to write when you're just tired. I've got the stuff in my head, it's just having the energy to get it out. I may have to resort to recording things onto my recorder and the typing them up. It'll give me something to do on my drive to work rather than bitching about the horrible drivers on the interstate.

I'm hoping the newest will be fine. She's been with the company for several years, so she knows how we work and she's worked shipment for years so she'll know the basics of how to run it. I'm just worried about her understanding the business side. I was working on her training on Friday and she's a little slow on grasping it. I don't know if she's just bored from sitting in the back and reading/watching vids, or if this is going to be a problem. We'll just have to wait and see. But she's definitely here through May because of school. :)

*hugs*

Oh, and don't be surprised if you get an email from me soon bombarding you with Dresden questions. *sigh* I think part of my problem with starting the writing for the fic is deciding exactly where in the series to start it.

It's good to hear that you're feeling better and I hope you get up to 100% soon. Recording what you want to write is a great idea, especially since you're stuck commuting on the interstate and fighting traffic. :-p

No worries about the Dresden questions, fire when ready!

Thanks so much for the birthday wishes! Even though I had to go into work, I had a great day.
