I could totally see Buffy in that dance club from ST: ItD, doing a little shimmy and sway on the dance floor. "And I've gotta say, your hips should be registered as deadly weapons. You should have seen his face when you started dancing." There were a couple of episodes in season 2 when Buffy was shown dancing and I agree. Her hands may be deadly weapons, but her hips should also be registered as such.
“But that doesn’t stop him from wanting to take care of you. Trust me on this.” Bones would still want to take care of Buffy; nursing her wounds, making sure she ate, making her take a break. That's just who he is, a nurturer, despite his gruff nature. Bones had no qualms about pulling rank and ordering Jim (the Captain) to take a rest, have surgery or whatever other medical attention was necessary. He will follow you on a shuttle and scan your face while you argue with someone else, if that's what it takes.
"you’ve got no idea how many times I’ve caught him staring when you aren’t looking.” Awww. So sweet. I was listening to country music and "I Don't Dance" by Lee Brice came on. It sounds like Bones wrote it. It made me think of those two dancing.
"She had a quick tongue to trade barbs with anyone who crossed her, and yet he’d laid witness to how gentle she could be with anyone who was injured." Oooo. When did that happen? The shuttlecraft accident?
