Making Buffy and the gang not be a happy family was an easy way to get her in the Stargate universe. Plus, it gave some angst to an otherwise humorous series cause I got to have angst there somewhere, even if only I can see it.

Yes, but Daniel is so cute when he's like that. I was rewatching the beginning of season nine the other night to refresh my Cameron and Vala and I love the expression on Teal'c's face when Daniel throws the pillow in mid-tantrum. :)
