I so love this 'verse. (Though I'd love to see a good Buffy/Kirk... and I know yours would be wonderful.)

I love Kirk playing matchmaker and Buffy taking a risk and Bones recognizing that she took a risk and then having the perfect response. You hold on tight there, Bones!
