1. Undertow
Ah, the fruit of three years of labor and love. I seriously started the fic because I believed there were not enough long Buffy/Jack fics out there (and I still don't) and it morphed into one of the best fics I've written, imho. It went places I had no idea it would go and gave me a new team to fall in love with - SG-13. And that it's been so well received despite the age difference between Buffy and Jack is nothing short of awe inspiring.
2. Theater
The love and bane of my life. I've always thought that I work best under pressure and that's what theatre is, from the start of a show to the end. It's a series of deadlines and challenges that can fill you with an absolute rush or absolute dread. My favorite part has to be tech week when all the elements of the show pull together into a cohesive unit. When it's done well it gives me the good kind of goosebumps. And the terror of being on stage, live in front of an audience and how it morphs into this reciprocating energy between you, the other actors, and the audience is a feeling that is like nothing else in this world.
3. TTH
A place filled with my kind of stories - Buffy Crossovers. And a place through which I've met all sorts of wonderful people - Ava, 'sita, Meri, Dhark Charlotte, the list could go on and on and on. Yeah, it has it's share of problems and people, but for the most part, it's the first site I got to when I'm ready to sit down and read some fanfic.
4. Fanfic
Which leads to this one. :D I had no idea when I started searching the web oh so many years ago when I was trying to catch myself up on the Buffy fandom (I was a late comer) that I would stumble upon this highly addictive form of entertainment. I started off as primarily a non-cross Buffy/Spike gal and eventually morphed into crossovers. Took me a year and a half before I actually started writing and that was many, many years ago. I actually believe that writing fanfic has improved my general writing abilities and character development - which has actually helped in the acting arena (not that I do much of that anymore).
5. Fanart
Something i play around in, but don't think I'm anywhere near as talented as a lot of others. But it's fun trying to create a cohesive image to accompany a fic or an idea that's floating around in my head. I do love making icons and wish I had a more up to date version of Photoshop. I'm still using an old copy of PS7 that was actually a beta version that a friend of mine had. But I do enjoy looking at all of the pretties others make and wish I could do it as well.
